First custom macraweave of 2021 and I sure enjoyed making it! Work times are a little harder to fit in with a 3 year old and now a one month old but making time to create is so important for my mental health and I’m so grateful I get to do it. Today I dropped off the Christmas tree that I decorated for the festival of trees happening tomorrow ! I am so honored I got to be one of the local artists selected to decorate a tree. I put my fiber artist spin on it by doing a large scale cross stitch design inspired by Scandinavian holiday motifs. I can’t wait to see my tree once it’s assembled and standing alongside all the other trees! 🎄

I had hopes of participating in all the holiday shopping extravaganzas but I just couldn’t get it together in time. I do think I will still be offering some specials and I have been working my tooshie off to make lots of earrings but for right now I am going to go easy on myself. I’ll be updating as much inventory as I can in my Etsy shop and for the three markets I have coming up over the next three weekends. So there will be plenty of opportunities to buy things if you have some holiday shipping to do and I am grateful to all of you who choose to shop with me! Also I have finally updated the macrame earring listing in my Etsy shop to include all SIXTEEN colors I offer these in!

While larger statement polymer clay earrings have been new for me in the past year, I have been making and selling polymer clay studs for around 8 years! Today I am heading to Oaxaca, Mexico for a weaving retreat with and I am so excited! This photo is from my creative retreat last spring in Morocco and I can’t want for another trip of focusing on my creativity, learning from local artisans, geeking out over beautiful plants and seeing new parts of the world. Things have been so crazy busy right now but I am so grateful to be able to take trips like this to step away from all the things and refocus. While the mom guilt is definitely very real about leaving my two year old for a week I know that a break like this will make me an even better mom for him when I return. I’ll definitely post some pics as I am able and will share in stories if you’re interested in following along with my adventure!
