The Payroll Coordinator will perform payroll, accounting, and administrative duties. This position will ensure payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations for both salaried and hourly employees. They will also comply with all state and federal regulations as it pertains to timekeeping, tax payments, and any garnishments or levies.

Key Essential Responsibilities
• Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of all payroll transactions.
• Assists with the calculations of monthly, quarterly, or year-end incentives.
• Communicates with management/employees as required to verify data and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Conducts audits for all benefits to ensure that employees are paying the correct amounts and that they are enrolled in the proper plans.
• Completes employment verification request which are related to payroll.
• Verifies and codes vendor benefit invoices.
• Assists with year-end processing, including reconciling W-2 totals with year-end reports and 1095’s.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
Experience/Education/Other Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years’ payroll processing experience required
• Working knowledge of accounting practices and tax laws.
• Ability to multi-task, establish work priorities, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, precision, discretion, and confidentiality.
• MS Excel experience required; Paycom experience a plus
