Happy Labor Day!! ☀️ We’re out here celebrating with the last s’mores of the season and probably our last time ever using this fire pit in our yard. 🔥

That’s right, it’s time for our family’s next move. We’re packing and painting and repairing and getting ready to put our house on the market. 🏡 Turns out this 120+ year old house continuously needs more work than we can afford to keep putting into it and we’d like to leave before completely and entirely exhausting every last penny we have in savings.

There are a few things I’ll miss about being here and there have been some good memories made, but I won’t miss the unending stress of homeownership. And I am actually pretty excited about the idea of moving back into Chicago proper, because type A suburban motherhood is not my ministry. ✌🏽

In line with the moving and the packing, I have A LOT of jewelry 💎 that needs to be moved right on out of here, so I’ll be deeply discounting what I have on hand. 💰 S*A*L*E*S are already live in my shop and I strongly encourage you reach out if you’re interested in multiple items because I’m happy to make some deals. 💖 Thanks for supporting me through this last chapter of life and into the next one.

Me and my favorite little mermaid 🧜🏾‍♀️ went to the pool today for the final time this season and it was just perfection. (Ok, maybe the sun ☀️ could have stayed out the entire time, but a few clouds didn’t slow us down.) We went on the slides together, ran into a school friend of hers, played and splashed and laughed for 5 hours!! 💦 It was exactly what we needed after a *rough* couple weeks.

Anyway, since I took zero pictures today (which is very unlike me) I’m sharing these mermaid treasure earrings with you this evening. 💎 They’re a standout statement pair with so many eclectic elements and materials - faux pearls, glass, bone, wood, metal, and vinyl beads!! 🤩

Large red orange Czech glass leaves with a gold wash dangle below artisan made decoupage wooden beads with the image of a beautiful brown skinned woman. Son of a biscuit!! 🤬 This is the first new pair I’ve made in over a month (serious lack of creative energy) and I put one of the focal beads on upside down!! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Which, of course, I didn’t notice until I started to photograph them. 📸 Cool, I’ll just take them apart and fix them later. 😑
