This is a handful of the pieces stolen a little over a week ago when thieves cut the power, disconnected internet, smashed through my door and stole my entire collection of finished jewelry and almost all of my materials.
Thankfully my close friend and fellow jeweler immediately set up a GoFundMe on my behalf. The response has me really feeling the love of this community and the generosity of friends, fellow artists, and strangers. It will take a lot of time to plan and build a new collection and repair the damage done. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and given me hope. If you would like to make a donation there is a link to the GoFundMe below. If you can’t donate I would really appreciate it if you could share it. (The photos in this post are a handful of the stolen items. If you see any of these out in the world please let me know.)

As some of you may have heard, my studio was broken into this last week in the early am of Thursday Feb 11. Thieves cut the power, disconnected internet, smashed through my door and stole my entire collection of finished jewelry and almost all of my materials. They then added the parting gift of discharging the contents of at least one fire extinguisher across my entire studio. Today is our fourth day of vacuuming, blowing, moving wiping, and trying to restore order to the chaos. The loss and setback has been pretty devastating. There is no way to recover the hundreds of hours that went into making all this work. Thankfully my close friend and fellow jeweler immediately set up a GoFundMe on my behalf. The response has me really feeling the love of this community and the generosity of friends, fellow artists, and strangers. I have been dabbling more in chainmaking lately. I just got this book and I am so impressed with it. Very thorough in its detailed explanation and beautifully photographed step-by-step instructions. I also appreciate that it is bound in sewn signatures which means it should last for decades of hard use. Nice bit of biblio.

Larry Robinson is one of my best friends and the world and an incredible inlay artist. He is legendary in the world of stringed instruments for his innovative designs and artful use of color. Now he is in need of help. He recently suffered a hole opening up in his heart between the chambers. After weeks in the critical ward of a hospital in San Francisco he received some very serious heart surgery and is now home recovering. Recovery will take time so I started this fundraiser to help him with his daily living expenses so he can take some time to recover and heal. Right now he can only work about 2 hours a day and like a lot of us who make a living with our hands he relies on moving jobs out the door to make a living. please donate if you can and please share. it makes a huge difference. link to the GoFundMe in my bio
