Although the Memorial Day Parade in Bellmore, Long Island was cancelled due to rain, the cancellation did not dampen the spirit of America or the gratitude we hold for the brave men and women who made the supreme sacrifice in service to this nation. Today, we honor not only those who gave their lives defending our freedoms, but also the families who carried on through unimaginable loss with strength and dignity. Their sacrifices have allowed us to enjoy liberties and opportunities unmatched anywhere else in the world. On this Memorial Day, we stand united in appreciation for those who serve and protect this country. God Bless America, and God bless those who serve—not those who seek to tear our nation down.

I am deeply honored and sincerely grateful to the Nassau County PBA for recognizing me as the Person of the Year at the recent Top Cop Awards Night. My association with the NCPBA goes back more than 40 years. To be acknowledged alongside so many dedicated law enforcement heroes and is truly humbling. This recognition means a great deal to me, and I thank the PBA for their unwavering commitment to supporting those who serve and protect our communities every day. I also extend my congratulations to all of the evening’s Top Cops whose contributions and achievements make our communities safe!
