Something Bright for Sunday ✨

A beautiful star sapphire, accented with two side diamonds, set on a Mokume band of Palladium 500 and sterling silver. 💍

Star sapphires rank 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, making them a durable choice for a ring worn daily — and they’re wonderfully unique. They can be found in many of the same colors as faceted sapphires, though yellow, orange, and green are less common.

One important detail: the star should be well-centered for the best visual effect.

A thoughtful gift with a lot of heart. ❤️

He knew his wife loves hearts, so while we were creating a diamond heart pendant, he decided to add a pair of earrings in a unique design.

After discussing the idea, Jim created the CAD rendering shown here, which was approved before fabrication. The finished earrings were made in Mokume using 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, and sterling silver, with 14K red gold rims and findings.

This stunning 9mm-wide ring was made in our popular etched Mokume combination of 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, and sterling silver, with a 14K palladium white gold liner.

A platinum channel adds extra sparkle with 0.01ct diamonds set into the design — a beautiful way to showcase both the Mokume pattern and a bit of bling. 💍

The number of diamonds varies depending on diamond size and ring size. For this finger size 5.625 ring, we used 40 diamonds. This style is available in all our precious metals combinations.

A stunning sapphire set in a classic platinum tapered half bezel. The tapered design was chosen so the larger sapphire setting wouldn’t extend beyond the edges of the ring, making it easier to wear another ring alongside it.

The 5mm band is crafted in Mokume using 14K palladium white gold and sterling silver.

From CAD to finished ring ✨

Our client had a large, beautiful faceted rectangular tourmaline — 11mm x 15mm — that she wanted to showcase in a custom Mokume ring.

Jim created a couple of design versions to make sure the final ring was just right. The Mokume is our “A” metal combination: 18K yellow gold, 14K palladium white gold, 14K red gold, and sterling silver.

The band measures 10mm at the top and tapers to 5mm. The setting is 18K yellow gold with 14K palladium white gold accent balls for added detail. 💍
