Ali started making and selling jewelry in the 5th grade with her twin sister at local farmer's markets. She is originally from Bainbridge Island, WA but most recently has been going to school in Walla Walla, WA. Ali worked at her local bead store, Beads of Bainbridge, during high school and part of college. In college she continued to make jewelry as a way to earn extra money and as a passion. She

has since graduated from Whitman College in 2016 with a BA in sociology and studio art. Combining her love of art and sociology, Ali hopes to make jewelry for everyone. Therefore, one of her goals with WildeWire is to make jewelry that people without a lot of expendable income can afford. She hopes to give you a quality piece of jewelry that you will love at a price you can afford no matter your economic position in life. Therefore, she has created a sliding scale for her jewelry allowing you to choose what you can afford. She currently sells her jewelry at Plum, a local store on Bainbridge Island and now here at Material. If you like her jewelry and her mission please share this site with your friends! In the descriptions of the jewelry you may notice that sometimes there is an added piece about where a part of the material came from. At WildeWire we believe that each piece has a story, but the creation of the piece is just the beginning of the story. POV your very new *husband* Valentino Mori (that's a real weird word for me to say...and yes I have some weird feminist feelings about it) puts up with all your crazy all the time and lets you adopt a third cat that matches your other two twin cats. Had the smallest, most beautiful, intimate wedding in our backyard yesterday with Valentino Mori with just our immediate family! We had so much help pulling this all together and everything was pure magic! My mom and dad grew all the flowers! A dear friend made us our cake. We borrowed tables and chairs from our lovely neighborhood organization. My brother officiated for us. Everything was simple and perfect. And the weather gave us a pretty gorgeous September day to celebrate.

I couldn't be happier to be getting an amazing bonus family and am still glowing from yesterday.

What's weird about this platform is that the majority of posts are about achievements (as I am doing right now) but what you don't see is the big bowl I threw last weekend that didn't feel right and the piece before this that I rewedged to make into this beauty because it was too small and didn't have enough structure. I had to fail to make this and that is something I will continue to emphasize!

It isn't perfect, not everything is square, and if I could redo parts, I would probably do the dimensions of the slots slightly differently but it finally exists! I've wanted a piece like this for years after searching online and never finding anything I was satisfied with.
