Hello Everyone! It’s been roughly 2 months since the storefront in Bellevue closed. In that time I’ve continued to do Keepsake Item orders and repairs from my home. It’s proven to be much more challenging to operate this way than I anticipated. In addition to the work from home difficulties I’m encountering, I’ve developed some problems with my hands that’s making the job very difficult. I had carpal tunnel surgery a couple years ago and have never quite returned to normal. After a stint in the hospital in 2023, I was prescribed some medication which had a somewhat rare side effect of hand tremors. Lucky me, even after a perfectly clean bill of health and being taken off the meds, the tremors haven’t gone away.
Last fall, I had to take on a second job to keep the store afloat, which I was able to do through the end of January 2025. I’ve been asked to take on some additional hours at that job, which will ultimately decrease the amount of time I have to work on Keepsake Items and repairs.
All of these things have led my husband and I to the decision to fully close the business at the end of June 2025. I will continue to take in orders and repairs through June 30, 2025 and will get everything done as quickly as possible after that.
It’s been a joy to do this work for the last 8 years. I’ve met some very lovely people and have hopefully made items that are meaningful to the recipients. I appreciate the trust you have put in me. This wasn’t an easy decision by any means but is what my husband and I have determined is the best for us and our family moving forward.
I hate to see the idea of the Keepsake Items business go away. If there is anyone that would be interested in purchasing this portion of the business, please let me know.
I have an abundance of tools, jewelry making supplies and beads I will be selling. Please let me know if there’s anything you need and keep an eye on the store’s FB and IG pages for those things.
I hope you all have a wonderful evening and again, thank you for your support ❤️
