I just found this picture from 7 years ago. That’s my daughter’s 13 year old hand modeling several rings that have since found worthy homes. It’s wild to think how much jewelry that I’ve made and sold in those seven years. I’m slowing down with age and not cranking out as much as I once did, but the artistry and quality remains the same.

This is my first day back at the bench in over 3 weeks after the very sudden and untimely illness and subsequent passing of my beautiful sister.

My last shop update was planned, edited, and scheduled in her hospital room. I took photos at home in the mornings before I headed out to sit with her while she waited for tests. And the results. I admit that I had no extra energy to market the latest collection. I still don’t.

So I sit here trying to find joy in making something. All the projects that I left unfinished seem so trivial now. I’m sure I’ll pull out of this fog, but at least you’ll all know why I’ve been silent on here. ~Jen
