Supporting Our Community After Hurricane Helene 828 851 1712 please share this post
My name is Danny Wilcox, and I live in Banner Elk and the High Country is where I was born and raised. Our town has been through so much and it’s time to come together as a community. Many of our friends and neighbors have lost their jobs, businesses, and homes. I want to do my part to help keep our recovery efforts local and ensure that those directly impacted are supported.
If you’re a local contractor, tradesperson, or industry worker who’s lost work due to the storm, please reach out to me. We’re working to connect people in need of home repairs and services with local workers who need jobs. This way, we can help rebuild our town while keeping the money and support within our community.
For those from outside the mountain who want to volunteer, we need you too! I have homes in our community that can’t afford to pay for help, and I’m hoping to direct free resources to them. If you can afford to pay for services, I ask that you please hire local workers to keep the money within the community. You can also volunteer through Samaritans Purse at this link

Please share this post and tag anyone who may need work or help with their homes. Let’s stand together and make sure our town is rebuilt by the very people who make it so special.
