New Hours of Operation:
Beginning March 1, 2026
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday:
10 AM - 5 PM
Additional Hours by pre-arranged appointment, CLOSED SUNDAY.

For those of you wanting to know, this change is being made as a personal life style priorities choice. I'm looking to be more involved in service projects, primarily faith related, and have come to realize that I need to make myself more available. Also, both Mrs. Snyder and I are in fairly good health and would like to spend more time on recreational activities while we're still healthy enough to do so.

This business has been a great blessing and financially rewarding, particularly so in the last 6 years, and we're simply at a point where we need the time more than we need the additional revenue. I'm not retiring, not yet anyway, but acknowledge that this is likely a first step before stepping away entirely.

The shop will be closed President's Day, Monday February 16th. I plan to reopen Tuesday (next day) and resume regular business hours.
As a point of information, my plan going forward will be to be closed on all bank holidays. Additionally I'm planning to rework my regular posted hours once the clocks change back to daylight savings time. There will be an additional post on the new hours once I lfinalize them.

So I believe that my business is being targeted with unfair negative reviews on my google profile. There have been 3, 2 just this week, and they're exclusively coming from 20 something entitled types.

I have been overworked and a bit grouchy, and admit that at least one of the reviews was at least somewhat justified. The last one really set me off, and I'm done being nice in my replies.
What would help me if any of you who have done business with me would write a review so I can at least get these off the top of the page. But only if you've actually done business with me.

Monday November 10th, the shop will open at or around 12 noon.

I have a doctors' appointment in Oakland in the morning.

There are no further interruptions in the posted operating hours anticipate until the last week of the year when I will close for a few days and take a physical inventory.

The shop will be closed beginning Friday August 29th through Labor Day week ending Saturday September 6th.

Reopening Monday September 8th and resuming normal business hours thereafter.

For those wishing to know, I am attending to what I view as a minor medical matter. I will need a few days to fully recover and have decided to take the entire week off following Labor Day.

If all goes well, and I recover quickly, I may take a short vacation or day trip with Luna and Mrs. Snyder. It's also possible that I might reopen sooner. I'll be around but won't be available.

I'll see everyone, God willing, the Monday following Labor Day.

In observance of the Independence Day holiday, the shop will be closed Friday July 4th and Saturday July 5th.

We will reopen Monday July 7th and resume normal operating hours.

So as an update I am back to work, though not at full speed or full energy.

I was able to get in to see my doctor when at my absolute worst, and she treated me with a z pak antibiotic. Diagnosis was type A flu which was moving towards bacterial pneumonia.

I'm working until I get tired, then stop and rest for awhile.

I've marked the shop closed through the end of this week. I'm some better, but not well enough to work a full day. Also, Mrs. Snyder is now sick and I want to be available for her even though my presence seems to annoy her.

At this point, I don't know if I ll be able to work tomorrow. I just came in to take care of a common task that normally takes 20-30 minutes and it took me nearly an hour and 1/2. It's brain fog as well as fatigue.

I'll try and update but it probably best to first and see if I am here.
