Still in my grimy gym clothes from this morning! 😆🤷♀️
Got my new canopy set up, only to find out my old sidewalls aren’t compatible…doh!! Have clamps holding them up for tonight and tomorrow night, it works for now! Hung up my curtains inside the canopy, I just love them and the cozy aesthetic they give 💚
My booth number is 186, and I’m facing the lake on the north side of Tony’s Tacos. There is a tree on the south side of my booth, I’m on the edge with no booth to the south of my canopy.
Realized today is my 6 month liversary (liver-versary? 🤔) 6 months ago today I was waking up with a new abdominal battle scar from the removal of the right lobe of my liver, which was over 75% of my whole liver and gall bladder, (my gall bladder was sacrificed as it was just in the way, and became medical waste, it wasn’t transplanted into my recipient) into the recipient in the OR right next door. I hope they are living life to the fullest possible!
The human body is amazing allowing the liver to regenerate, and mine is completely back to its original size. In 5 weeks it was already 85% regenerated!
I know I talk about organ donation A LOT in my posts. It is not to bring attention to myself, but to bring attention to a dire need out there. There are so many people waiting for their ideal organ match. Kidneys and livers can come from living donors. You are fully tested for compatibility, and any health issues you may have, or may develop. There is no cost involved for the donor for testing, surgery, travel expenses, or anything. You may even qualify for wage loss benefits. It has definitely been an honor to have hopefully helped not one, but two people have more birthdays, Christmases, vacations with their family, all the things they love to do! 💚💙💚
