Pictured: corned venison. Potatoes, carrots cooked in the pressure canner. And oven roasted Brussel sprouts. Yummy.
I have some jerky meat marinating and more corned venison brining to pressure can it.

We had a storm here Thursday night. This video is just small portion of the tree debri we have on our property.

Growing up I hunted rabbit, squirrel and deer, fished, gardened, did home repairs, and hunted morels with my Dad.

Today I still love hiking and foraging.

I always remembered my Dad telling me to look under the May Apple plants, that I called umbrellas, for morel mushrooms. For 30 years since he died I've continued to look under and near May Apples. This year I found one under the May apples.
Thanks to my Dad for instilling in me a love of nature and self sufficiency. ❤️
If not for his influence in my life, I doubt I would have even thought to own dairy goats and subsequently make soap with goats milk.
