This picture isn’t much to talk about but everything that took place behind, around and because of it, absolutely is! 💝 Today was the 1st market day for the Avon Farmers Market, as well as my 1st day of the season. Thank you to the wonderful vendor neighbors! Thank you to the customers and to Vacasa for allowing our APOA Avon Farmers Market Operation Committee to have this space for our vendors! To my returning customers, THANK YOU for finding me, even though I wasn’t in the same spot as last year….. Thank you for making it a point to stop by and support me! Your presence and support is appreciated, as well as the slushy and food! A huge shout out to my man who helped me with set-up, took over the flags I was helping with that our committee puts out in the morning on market day and brought me lunch! Another shoutout to my son who helped out as well! Thank you everyone for making this a great day for me, and so many others!!! I hope your day was as good as mine, or even better!!! 🥰🙏💝

What is the difference between a hobby and therapy? 🤔😉😍

Well, a lot actually but my hobby is also my therapy! It gives me a space to disconnect from the every day responsibilities as a mom & wife. It’s my escape! I often find myself deep in thought while creating. Years ago while I was in occupational therapy after a triple traumatic brain injury (TBI), my therapist discovered that art was incredibly therapeutic, especially because it was peaceful, joyful and helped reconnect things in my brain through hand and eye coordination activities. That kind of therapy began in 2015, nearly a year after my TBI’s. When I discovered the love of making jewelry, my therapist encouraged it. My hobby was in full force a year later. In 2017, I opened my business but had to shut it down in 2020 upon moving. The following year, I opened THIS business and a year later, I branched out from my initial items to incorporate raw Sterling Silver & Fine Silver items. These pictures are from 2022 so while these items are not available, I wanted to share because it brought me joy! I still make similar items!!! Hammering and twisting metal is so therapeutic for me and I love that it is my escape. It’s a blessing to work with my hands and it has done wonders for my brain! I’m a living miracle! I’m not sure where in this world I would be without this kind of creativity & healing!
A hobby is considered something that is done for enjoyment and usually accomplished during one’s leisure time and for me, that is absolutely my therapy!!!

Imperfections is what makes these earrings so beautiful to me! When I started shaping them from nothing, they were equal. In fact, I’d say identical until they experienced the pressure of being shaped in various ways but the end result is slightly different from one another. ♡

We all respond to life around us in our own unique way, and that’s ok. While we can easily point out our imperfections to others, we may be surprised to learn that those very things is exactly what others perceive as perfected! That’s what makes this and everyone “Perfectly Imperfect” just as you are! Perhaps it’s why I find the little differences in this set so amazing and simply adored!

When I first started making jewelry in 2015, I was going through what I would call, the thick of my brain injury (TBI). I was burdened by perfection to a fault and oftentimes it was discovered after an item was complete but the blessing in that is I didn’t always notice. The focus was healing. It was imperative for my hand/eye coordination and helped to reconnect things in my brain. It lead to art therapy through my occupational therapist, which I highly recommend for TBI survivors. I didn’t work with raw Sterling Silver or Fine Silver wire then but the work I started to do was incredibly tedious for a broken brain. However the frustration pushed my limits beautifully!

Fast forward to more recent years, I have began to embrace imperfections because it’s a beautiful reminder of people and everything around us. No two are identical and being unique is simply what sets us apart. I love that! Do you?

𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒: Some feel so far fetched but little by little, they are inching closer to being accomplished! 𝒀𝑨𝒀!!! Are you working on any goals this year? I would love to hear what they are! 𝐋𝐄𝐓’𝐒 𝐆𝐎!!!

The New Year brings NEW THINGS:
•Updated Logo (in progress)
•Domain Transfer (waiting)
•Website (almost finished)

For over a year, I’ve wanted a website and have somewhat worked on it. It’s not easy for the non-savvy gal who is too detail oriented to sit long enough to make it happen. Well I took the plunge in a lot of ways….. learned how to merge systems, how to edit inventory and cross load it, also how to separate inventory from online vs in person so that one isn’t accidentally purchased but not available, how to transfer a domain and so many other little things that can be (and often are) time consuming! Let’s just say, this is not my forte but I’m determined to learn and make it happen!!! Customer after customer has asked for a website and as much as I wanted to make it happen, it was constantly pushed to the back-burner of being accomplished, UNTIL NOW! This year, it’s my focus, for you, my customers, and I don’t plan to sit on this until it’s done!!! In addition to that, I am refining my logo and making it exactly as I want! Details in my work is just as important as the details that are a visual representation of my business. You can see how I’m working on my logo in that bottom left corner of the photo…. Jagged edges vs a smooth gradient line. In the bottom right corner are the 7 steps of my website. All the major things are completed but now it’s about fine-tuning it, waiting for the domain transfer to be completed, updating all of my inventory and then going live! That is incredibly exciting so I wanted to share!!! Let’s crush some goals together and hold one another accountable! I’d love to hear what you are working on! 🤗💖
