Based off the black and orange half mala I just completed, this delicate piece has rainbow fluorite, amethyst, and gray labradorite, with dark gray knots and a cute bee dangle, lovingly* made for my bee-obsessed bestie Bailey (of both B Connecting LLC and Busy B Bookmarks fame).
This mala features a lobster clasp instead of the traditional continuous length, as the smaller beads makes it much shorter than malas made with 8mm beads.

*It's a lie, Bailey got cussed out a few times (lovingly). Never again will I work with 5.5mm beads unless I love you.

This custom order was for a kiddo, so we went with a half mala (54 beads) and slightly smaller than usual beads (6mm rather than 8mm).
The client is all about textures as part of grounding, so we used a beaded tassel, black lava stones, and faceted oval orange agate.
Since it is only a half-length, I did a lobster clasp at the bottom in lieu of a traditional guru bead to be more wearable.

Malas are used in meditation similar to how rosaries are used in prayer.
108 beads, with knots or spacer beads, are used to keep count of mantras.
The guru bead, usually attached to the tassel, and different beads are used as markers. These are not counted.
Malas can be worn as a necklace or wrapped several times around the wrist. Half malas (54 beads) or quarter malas (27 beads) are also an option.
We can customize! Message us to design your mala, with your preferred stones, string color, knots vs spacers, guru beads, tassels or dangles. If you have no strong preference for a traditionally-fashioned mala but would still like a custom pretty, we can certainly make a bracelet to fit your wrist, with either stretch or clasp options.
Our malas are hand-knotted and made of real stone, metal, wood, bone, and seeds.

These can all be jumping-off points for your own mala! We can customize stones, thread color, knots or spacer beads, markers, guru, and tassel!
These are all examples of full (108 bead) malas. Malas can also be designed in half (54 bead) or quarter (27 bead) to be used as a bracelet.
If you are not in the market for a traditionally-threaded mala but would still like a gemstone bracelet, we can make those as well to fit your wrist, with either stretch or clasp fittings.

Pre-made malas are priced at $40.00. Custom orders will be based off this price, but of course more expensive bead or tassel options may raise it.
