Who doesn’t love Jerry? ⚡️💀🌹

“There are things you can replace and others you cannot. “ — Garcia / Hunter

This latest project was pure joy to make. Hand beaded using square stitch with size 11 Miyuki Delica beads, this portrait measures 3.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. This baby took about 7.5 hours 🥹

We were lucky enough to watch Jerry play his guitar live so many times with both the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band, so weaving this piece brought back so many incredible memories.

We’re still deciding on its final form.
We might turn this into a wearable patch or frame it up as a mini piece of wall art. Which would you prefer to see? 🎸⚡️♥️

That feeling when you put down the needle after hours of stitching, look at your finished piece, and realize... there’s one bead off.

Ugh! But hey, slow made art builds character, and you’ve just gotta learn to love those tiny human imperfections.

This sweet Transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania took an embarrassing 8.5 hours of labor and roughly 2,500 Miyuki Delica beads to bring this piece to life 💋
(using even pe**te stitch) !!!

Every single tiny bead was placed by hand, and honestly….we are obsessed with how iconic Dr. Frank-N-Furter looks in glass beads !

We originally spotted this brilliant pixel art layout on Pinterest, but after doing a deep dive to give credit where credit is due, we tracked down the original Kandi pattern by maninthebook! 🖤

I’ve had these rich, gorgeous ruby beads and briolettes tucked away in my stash for literally years, waiting for the exact right project to bring them out.

When I placed them alongside these vintage doll eyes, everything clicked.

The contrast between the hypnotic, watchful eyes and the crimson glow of the rubies gives these earrings the most incredible Victorian-gothic energy.

They’re light on the lobes, rich in detail, and guaranteed to turn every head in the room.
