Day 351. A tiny gingerbread cookie is today’s circle. Petite Very Velvet was the perfect thread for the frosting accents. 😃 How cute!

It’s Leaf the Week Behind! Week 50 of my embroidered leaf for 2025. Using a perle cotton size 5 (I used Eleganza EZM09 Up a Tree) and a Chenille 18 needle, stitch a 5-spoke Woven Picot in the center of your leaf. I started my spokes at the bottom edge. My picot is 1 1/8” tall. Adjust yours according to the size of your leaf. Change to a Milliners 1 needle and stitch 3 Pistil Stitches at the top, tacking down the tip of the picot. Using a perle cotton size 8 (I used Eleganza EZM79 Johnnycake) and a Chenille 24 needle, stitch a series of Chain Stitches as shown in the photo. Finish by stitching the Portuguese Knotted Stem Stitch around the leaf - in the background close to the applique. 🌱🌿Stitch-With-Me🌿🌱

Day 350. Learning the Trellis stitch can be a bit intimidating. It was for me. Try using a larger size thread such as a size 5 to practice. That way you can see where to place each stitch. I’m using EZM39-Cake Pop. A lot of movement using this colorway.
