How Lisbon's red light district turned pink? In an attempt to change the reputation of this area from high crime and prostitution to something softer with works of art and finer dining, the area was made brighter with the street color being changed to PINK.
Also establishments were changed from run-down bars to cozy cafes with a new kind of nightlife designed to attract less criminals.
