Representing nature and a connection to emotional healing and inner peace. PREHNITE is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral characterized by its popular pale green to yellow-green coloration . This mineral was named after an individual and a tribute to Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn, a Dutch mineralogist who discovered it in the 18th century. Prehnite rarely forms crystals, instead occurring in bubbly (botryoidal), grape-shaped clusters, masses, or stalactites, which has led to its nickname "grape jade". Black epidote inclusions are often present, appearing as dark spots or needles and providing a high decorative contrast to the green.
