Aspen Colorado

Aspen Colorado Pitkin County Aspen is a mountain community located in Central Colorado as the Pitkin County seat.

Originally founded as a silver mining boom town in 1879, Aspen today is a popular destination for jet setters, celebrities, and avid skiers. Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Snowmass provide thousands of acres of skiing terrain. Aspen served as an inspiration for much of John Denver's songwriting, and a memorial in the town has been dedicated to the singer who loved Aspen so much.
