A customer inherited a couple of diamond rings that held so much sentimental value, but the style just wasn’t quite her. We carefully removed the diamonds and transformed them into a custom band with a more modern look—allowing her to enjoy and wear her family heirlooms while keeping the memories behind them close. ✨💎

Hi, I'm Alayna Jones, owner of Jones Jewelry & Appraisals here in Arab, Alabama. For those of you who haven't met me, I'd like to introduce myself.

I opened Jones Jewelry & Appraisals with a simple goal: to create a welcoming place where customers can shop for fine jewelry, ask questions, and feel confident in every purchase. Whether you're celebrating a milestone, searching for the perfect gift, or bringing in a treasured family heirloom, I want every person who walks through our doors to feel comfortable, cared for, and well-informed.

My love for jewelry started long before this business. As a little girl, I was always collecting rocks and convincing my parents to stop at jewelry stores whenever we visited the mall. At 17, I got my first job in a jewelry store and quickly realized I had found the career I was meant for.

At 19, I earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, California, where I was the youngest student in my graduating class. Since then, I've continued my education by training as a bench jeweler at the New Approach School for Jewelers and becoming a jewelry appraiser. I've had the opportunity to appraise jewelry for both luxury and antique jewelry companies, gaining experience with everything from modern diamonds to cherished family heirlooms.

Even with those opportunities, Arab has always been home. When it came time to open my own store, there was nowhere else I wanted to be.

Jewelry often marks life's most meaningful moments—graduations, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, and the birth of a child. Many pieces become treasured family heirlooms, passed from one generation to the next. That's why every repair, appraisal, and jewelry purchase is treated with the care, attention, and respect it deserves.

When I'm not at the store, you'll usually find me at home with my husband, Grant, and our three little ones (all four and under—so life is never boring!). I love baking homemade bread, spending time in the garden, and making memories with my family.
