Amethyst Scepter on Quartz – Veracruz, Mexico $400

This exceptional specimen features a well-formed amethyst scepter crystal perched atop a sparkling quartz matrix. The amethyst displays delicate lavender-to-pink coloration with internal growth zoning and excellent translucency, culminating in a sharp, intact termination. Scepter quartz forms when a later generation crystal grows larger than its original stalk, a rare and highly sought-after phenomenon among collectors.

The supporting matrix consists of intergrown quartz crystals, providing both contrast and structural elegance. Specimens of this quality are characteristic of the renowned Veracruz region of Mexico, celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest amethyst scepters.
