Ames Hardness Testers Ames portable hardness testers have been manufactured and sold worldwide for over 50 years. Ames testers also meet military

requirements of MIL standard 4566A.

Our

clients include aerospace, government and anywhere metal testing is required. Ames testers have

proven themselves over the years to be extremely reliable and accurate providing +/- 1 point accuracy.

All Ames Testers are easy to use and portable; we have 8 models to choose from. Our testers are light

weight and normally a test will take about 6-8 seconds to complete. Our testers are manufactured

following the American ASTM guidelines and include test blocks traceable to the NIST standards. Anvils,

diamonds and ball penetrators are also serialized and traceable. Each tester and test block is serialized, which is required to ISO,

A1, Q1 and military standards. All Ames Testers are complete and ready to be used. They come in a smart, high-impact; yet light weight

case complete with extensions, anvils and a set of certified, serialized and traceable hardness samples. If your Ames Tester ever needs service or calibration, we offer a fast turnaround for both.
