Who makes those fancy door knockers you see in rich neighborhoods? How do those guys make a sword that can slice through a watermelon in one swing? A few years ago I had the same questions so i started S&S Smithing as a journey for experience and knowledge. I went from shaping steel in a hole in the ground filled with charcoal to two fully functioning forges and more experience than you can shake a stick at. Artistic and practical I can make your idea a reality.

Black Damascus with local deer antler handle. This specific kind of Damascus takes multiple processes to create. This is an extremely high end spear point knife. The sheathe is made from all natural leather free of chromium or other dangerous chemicals. This was a custom piece for a local guy.

New Damascus fresh off of the forge. What started out as a twisted bundle of different alloys of wire has become one solid piece. Not many use this process but the results are stunning and this is just the initial etch. I will post an update with the finished piece. This is going to be a fine knife in the end.

Night Glow was amazing! We got to see so many amazing artists and do a blacksmithing demonstration with the road kit. I slapped together this little baby forge last year and it has done its job well. I will be posting the knife me made during the event this week!
