This cup was commisioned as a gift for Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, the current (2010) President of Mongolia. It is sterling silver with a 24kt yellow gold wash on the inside.

This was one of our favorite commissioned pieces we have worked on. It was an 85% scaled replica of a copper chocolate pot that once belonged to a member of Louis XV's court. Our version was entirely handmade in sterling silver with gold accents and was a gift from the Mars Corporation to the Mars family.

All of these items were made by hand in our workshop. Metal-forming techniques vary depending on the particular piece, but each piece requires the skilled use of thousands of careful hammer blows. Many of Lawrence's creations have been picked up before being photographed, so this is just a small glimpse of his work.

This commissioned piece was for an Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. It is solid 18kt gold. The cross measures 13" X 4.5" and weighs 625grams. Because it is so heavy and large, it was cast in several pieces. The final details were finished by hand.
