I Cut Open a THUNDEREGG...Is That The Eye of a HURRICANE Inside! 🌪️😳

WAIT...is that the EYE of a HURRICANE hiding inside this rock?!

I cut open this Blue Star Thunderegg, and WOW! Mother Nature apparently decided to create her very own weather system INSIDE a stone! 😂💎

The moment those two freshly cut halves opened, I discovered incredible swirling layers of icy white, smoky gray and soft blue-gray agate, with fascinating circular formations that look like storm clouds swirling around the eye of a hurricane! 🌪️

And the craziest part? The two halves almost look like different satellite images of the SAME STORM! 😳

A hurricane frozen in stone...who would have imagined THAT?! 💎

I Cut Open Petrified Wood...Did I Just RUIN History?! 😬💎

😳🪵 I just CUT through HISTORY...but was it WORTH IT?!

I took my lapidary saw to a piece of ancient Petrified Wood, and what was hiding inside was a beautiful reminder of just how extraordinary Mother Nature really is! 💎

This isn't ordinary wood anymore. Over time, minerals replaced or filled the original woody material, transforming it into stone—and this particular piece has become beautifully AGATIZED PETRIFIED WOOD!

When I cut it open, I discovered delicate layers of icy white, smoky gray, soft blue-gray and earthy tones flowing through the stone in intricate natural patterns. The subtle banding and mineral formations almost look like a watercolor painting frozen in time! 🎨💎

And to think...this was once part of a TREE! 🌳😳

That's what makes rock cutting and fossil reveals so fascinating. You never know what incredible patterns, mineral details, preserved structures or surprises might be hiding inside until the lapidary saw makes that first cut.

Cutting Rooster Tail Jasper... Bigfoot Face on Left!! 😳🐓💎

Let's be honest...

That sounds more like the name of a bad country band than a rock.

But once I saw this stone, I knew I had to find out what was hiding inside.

One cut later, and I completely understood why collectors love searching for unique jasper patterns. This one has Sasquatch on the left!. Nature has a way of creating artwork that no person could ever duplicate.

I Cut Open a Bahia Agate...WHY Is It Staring at Me! 😳👀💎

👀😳 WAIT...WHY is this rock STARING BACK AT ME?!

I cut open this Bahia Agate, and I swear Mother Nature has been keeping an EYE on things! 😂💎

The moment those two freshly cut halves opened, I discovered an incredible collection of circular patterns, swirling agate bands and tiny orb-like formations that look like EYES staring right back at me! 👀

And the longer I look...the MORE eyes I find! 😳

This beautiful Bahia Agate reveal is packed with intricate layers of charcoal gray, earthy brown, creamy white, soft peach and golden yellow. The incredible concentric circles and unusual natural patterns almost look like tiny bullseyes scattered throughout the stone!

Seriously...how does nature create something THIS fascinating?! 🤯💎

THIS is exactly why I love rock cutting! You never know what amazing colors, agate banding, eye-like patterns, mineral formations or unexpected surprises might be hiding inside a rough rock until the lapidary saw makes that first cut. I Cut Open a Chinese Agate...Is That MOLTEN LAVA! 🌋😳🔥

🌋🔥 WAIT...is that MOLTEN LAVA hiding inside this rock?! 😳

I cut open this Chinese Agate, and WOW! The inside looks like a miniature VOLCANO erupting right before my eyes! 🤯💎

Deep black and earthy brown formations resemble rugged volcanic rock, while brilliant fiery reds and glowing oranges appear to flow through the stone like rivers of molten lava! 🌋🔥

And the craziest part? Those incredible patterns were hiding inside an ordinary-looking rock!

I Cut Open a Baker Ranch Geode...There's a GLACIER Inside?! 😳❄️

❄️😳 Okay...WHY does this geode look FROZEN inside?!

The moment I cut open this Baker Ranch Geode, I knew this one was special. Inside was a sparkling world of brilliant white crystal, shimmering druzy and translucent gray formations that look like a tiny glacier frozen inside the rock! ❄️💎

Seriously...how was THAT hiding in there?!

This is exactly why I love rock cutting and geode reveals. The outside of a rough rock can only tell you so much. Until the lapidary saw makes that first cut, there's no knowing what crystals, druzy pockets, mineral formations, colors or incredible surprises might be hiding inside.

And this Baker Ranch Geode definitely delivered. From the icy white crystalline interior to all that sparkling druzy, this is one of those rock reveals I could stare at over and over again. 👀💎

I Cut Open a TINY Malawi Agate...Look What Was Hiding Inside! 😳🔥

🔥💎 TINY rock. BIG surprise!

From the outside, it looked ordinary. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I almost underestimated this little Malawi Agate because it's SO small—but the moment I cut it open, WOW. 😳

Packed inside this tiny stone were layer after layer of beautiful orange, tangerine, golden yellow and creamy agate banding. For such a little rock, it was hiding an incredible amount of color and detail!

Tiny but MIGHTY definitely applies to this one. 😂💪💎

And this is exactly why I love rock cutting. You can't judge a rough stone by its size—or its outside! Until the lapidary saw makes that first cut, you never know what agate bands, colors, patterns or incredible surprises might be hiding inside.

I Cut Open African Striped Jasper...MONET, Is That You?! 😂🎨💎

🎨😂 MONET...you've got some explaining to do!

I cut open this African Striped Jasper and apparently Mother Nature has been taking art lessons. 😂💎

The inside is covered with incredible layers of burnt orange, golden yellow, cream, smoky blue-gray and black, all flowing through one another like brushstrokes in a tiny Impressionist painting.

And when I put the two freshly cut halves together? WOW. 😳

One minute I see an abstract landscape worthy of an art gallery...the next I see the beautifully patterned wings of a giant moth or butterfly. 🦋🎨

That's one of my favorite things about rock cutting. You can look at the outside of a rough stone and make your best guess, but until that lapidary saw makes the cut, you never know what colors, jasper patterns or incredible natural artwork might be hiding inside.

I Cut Open a Botswana Agate...Are Those GHOSTS?! 👻😳💎

👻 Okay...I definitely wasn't expecting to find THESE hiding inside!

The moment I cut open this Botswana Agate, beautiful layers of gray, white and soft translucent agate banding appeared—but then I noticed those bright white centers.

And now I can't unsee it. 😂

They look like two little ghosts surrounded by layer after layer of agate bands! 👻💎

This is exactly why I love rock cutting. Every rough rock is a mystery until the lapidary saw opens it up, and you never know what colors, agate banding, natural patterns or strange little surprises nature has hidden inside.

I Cut Open Noreena Jasper...This Rock Is LOUD! 🤯🔥💎

🔥🎸 Okay...this rock has some SERIOUS attitude!

The moment I cut open this Noreena Jasper, I couldn't believe the patterns hiding inside. Fiery orange-red, light gray, and brilliant yellow lines crisscross the stone in a wild natural design that looks like a cross between an '80s rock album cover and a famous electric guitar! 🤯💎

And somehow...NATURE made this.

That's what I love about rock cutting. A rough rock can give you clues about what's inside, but until the lapidary saw makes that first cut, you never really know what colors, jasper patterns or incredible surprises are waiting for the reveal.
