I Cut Open Cotton Candy Agate...Now I Get the Name! 😳💎

😳 Okay...NOW the name makes perfect sense!

The moment I cut open this Cotton Candy Agate, I was greeted by an incredible mix of soft blue-white agate, delicate banding and beautiful peachy-pink and orange formations scattered throughout the stone. The colors almost look like they were painted inside! 💎

THIS is what makes rock cutting so much fun. You can look at a rough rock and make your best guess—but until the lapidary saw opens it up, you never really know what colors, agate patterns, mineral formations or surprises nature has hidden inside.

And this Cotton Candy Agate reveal definitely lived up to its name!

I Cut Open Larimar...There Were ISLANDS Inside?! 😳🌊💎

🌊😳 Wait...HOW does the inside of a rock look like THIS?!

The moment I cut open this Larimar, I couldn't believe the reveal. Beautiful Caribbean-blue and turquoise-blue Larimar surrounds dark natural patterns that almost look like tiny islands rising out of a tropical ocean. 🏝️💎

And THAT is why I never get tired of rock cutting. Every rough stone is a mystery until the lapidary saw opens it up—and you never know what colors, mineral patterns or incredible surprises nature has been hiding inside.

This Larimar reveal seriously looks like a miniature world trapped inside a rock. 🌎🌊

I Cut Open a Laguna Agate...WHY Does It Look ANGRY?! 😳👀💎

👀 Umm...did I just make this rock MAD?! 😂

The moment I cut open this incredible Laguna Agate, I was blown away by the fiery orange, rust, yellow, white and gray fortification banding—but then I noticed something else.

Those patterns almost look like EYES staring right back at me! 😳

And now I can't unsee it.

I Cut Open Sodalite...It Looked Like a Stormy Sea! 🌊😳💎

💙😳 I was NOT prepared for that BLUE!

The moment I cut open this Sodalite, an incredible electric cobalt-blue interior appeared, mixed with steely gray, black and lighter natural patterns. Parts of it almost look like a dark, stormy Caribbean sea captured inside stone. 🌊💎

THIS is why I love rock cutting. The outside of a rough rock can only tell you so much—until the lapidary saw makes that first cut, you never really know what colors, mineral patterns or surprises nature has hidden inside.

Cutting Chrysocolla Quartz...HOW Are These Colors Real?! 😳💎

🩵😳 Okay...nature REALLY showed off with this one!

The moment I cut open this Chrysocolla in Quartz, I couldn't believe the mix of colors hiding inside—brilliant turquoise green, robin's-egg blue, white quartz, steely gray and dramatic black all tangled together in one incredible rock. 💎

Every inch looks different! The bright blue and turquoise seem to streak right through the quartz, while the darker areas make those colors stand out even more. This is one of those rock cutting reveals that makes you wonder how nature created something that looks almost painted.

And THIS is exactly why I love cutting rocks. You can study a rough stone all you want, but until that lapidary saw opens it up, you never really know what colors, minerals, patterns or surprises are hiding inside.

I Cut Open a Malawi Agate...ELECTRIC ORANGE?! ⚡🧡💎

⚡🧡 I definitely wasn't expecting THAT color hiding inside!

The moment I cut open this Malawi Agate, brilliant electric-orange banding practically jumped out against the beautiful quartz center. With the dark natural outer edge framing that glowing orange banding, this agate reveal was absolutely stunning! 😳💎

I Cut Open Ruby in Fuchsite...Oops! Did I Break It?! 😳💎

😳 Well...THAT wasn't part of the plan!

I cut open this gorgeous Ruby in Fuchsite for a rock-cutting reveal—and just as I opened the two halves, one slipped right out of my hand! 😬

Oops.

Thankfully, the little mishap couldn't take away from what was hiding inside. This Ruby in Fuchsite revealed a stunning combination of ruby and beautiful green fuchsite that made this cut completely worth it. 💎

This is exactly why I love rock cutting—you never quite know what's going to happen when a rough rock meets the saw, and you REALLY never know what nature has been hiding inside until you make that first cut!

I Cut Open a Montana Agate...It Had EVERYTHING!😍💎

Every now and then, I cut a rock that makes me forget I'm looking at stone.

This Montana Agate was one of those moments.

The instant the saw opened it, I found layer after layer of intricate patterns, flowing banding, sparkling quartz, and incredible natural details. The more I looked, the more I discovered.

That's why I never get tired of rock cutting—you never know when millions of years of geology will create something that seems almost impossible.

I Cut Open a Malawi Agate...It Looked Like Liquid Fire! 🔥💎

🔥 I knew this Malawi Agate had potential... but I never imagined THIS.

The moment the saw opened the stone, it looked like a glowing peach and orange fireball frozen in time. Brilliant colors radiated from the center while beautiful natural banding framed the edges, creating one of the most incredible Malawi Agate reveals I've ever seen.

This is exactly why I love rock cutting. Every rough rock is a mystery until the blade reveals millions of years of hidden beauty inside.

I Cut a Bahia Agate - It Melted My Mind!🤯💥🔥

You will NEVER believe what was hiding inside this rough rock! 😳💎

Watch as I cut open this stunning Bahia Agate to reveal a mind-blowing, fiery explosion on the inside with perfect banding on the edges. This is one of the most satisfying rock reveals I've ever done! It is amazing what had been hidden for millions of years. It's a great reminder that nature doesn't always reveal its best work on the surface.
