This Argentium silver wire hairpiece is finally finished after about 2 years on my plate. You can see the brass piece I was given to use as my inspiration but also given artistic license to make my own. I think the orange garnet was a nice touch & I'm hopeful I was able to grind down any serious hair-snagging locations within the setting. Maggie made the stick from a dried branch found in our yard to help finish it off. I'm very happy with the outcome, hopefully it's new owner will be also.

This argentium silver hair bun holder is in its final stages. I still need to work on straightening the wire a bit more & then I can heat treat this to harden. The very last step is to set the garnet I decided was needed but will only get included if it behaves. Im concerned that the backset prong design will create a hair snag location. If I can't make the prongs tips sit perfectly, I will cut them off & remove the stone from my design. Stay tuned!

This copper ankh is complete. Ill share a revelation I had while making this. My friend Alicia who requested this had only 2 expectations for the design. First was to leave the copper sheet outdoors exposed to moonlight until I began fabrication. The 2nd was to think about what I truly want in life while I fabricated the piece, giving intention into the universe. I now know the later element is why this sat shelved for years, my true intentions were being overridden by my conscious self. I currently find myself at a critical junction, not just a chapter change but the time to start a new book. I've got no idea what the title is yet but the binding is being built as I speak. Thank you Alicia for helping to set this moment in motion. The loop doesn't just close, it radiates outwards for us all!

I forgot to show the start of this project yesterday, so I decided to stop here mid-task & take some pics. This copper ankh is for one of my Louisiana people & has been on hold for at least 2 years. Per her request, this copper has been outside exposed to moonlight since the request was made. I am now working on some refining of the roughs I sawed out. They are currently superglued & once shaping is done I'll put in acetone to separate, creating a 2 sided terraced stack for the final design. There will be a silver wire inlay at the center that will also help keep my alignment while soldering. Ill share more as it progresses. Stay tuned

Maggie & me got a surprise gift from my parents. This came from a Michigan barn estate sale & obviously handmade. Almost feels like the universe is telling me where to lay my eggs or something. Here is another ring from my personal collection & the last posting of old stock for now as I make my way back to the bench. The stone in here is a Chiastolite & it is set in sterling silver. The stone is not flat backed & more lozenge shaped allowing contact with the skin. This ring is a size 11US & can be worn half a size larger but not smaller or it is too loose. Here is one that is ready to go out into the world. This was inspired by the old tradition of expecting mother's to receive a silver bell that she would wear through pregnancy. This was also done with silver rattles. The sound is believed to be heard while in the womb & is soothing to the child through their life. This was made by melting down & hammering out a fine silver coin, there is documentation on my page if you go back to like 2020. There is a brass spring soldered inside there & I included a copper, fine silver, & sterling silver granule as well as a black diamond slice. I then folded the whole thing over & riveted closed with sterling silver wire. You can see the difference in patina rate between these 2 silvers. There is no front or back as it swivels inside the bail. On the bail I set a nice carnelian cab for a pop of color. I am asking $265 for this one & can include a waxed cotton adjustable cord if requested. The bail is designed in such a way that it will work with lots of different style chains. Let me know if your interested, I'll likely list online in the next few days.
