Today, many engagement rings begin as a CAD design—a remarkable process that allows for incredible precision and creativity before a piece is cast in gold or platinum.
This ring simply followed a different path.
It began with an old European-cut champagne colored diamond that we sourced especially for a wonderful client. Finding the right stone was the first chapter of the story, and once we did, we talked about how it should be brought to life.
Together, we chose traditional hand craftsmanship.
Every curve, every proportion, and every detail was shaped at the bench, allowing the design to evolve around this one extraordinary diamond. There's something deeply rewarding about creating a piece this way—where the materials, the maker, and the vision all come together through handwork.
It was an honor to create this ring and to be entrusted with something so meaningful. From sourcing the perfect antique diamond to crafting a one-of-a-kind setting, the entire process is why I love what I do.
Whether a ring begins with cutting-edge technology or traditional bench techniques, what matters most is creating a piece that tells your story. For this couple, a handmade ring was the perfect expression of that story—and I couldn't be more grateful to have been a part of it.
