Chantrieri Moon - Handmade Electroplated Jewelry

Inspired by both local flora and the mythological fauna of Norse and Old Germanic folklore, my pieces aim to act as protective amulets.

Whenever possible, I use minerals and botanical elements that I am drawn to and gather myself throughout California. Using the electroplating process, specimen are meticulously crafted from start to finish, immortalizing them in copper. Each piece takes a minimum of five hours to create. www.chantrierimoon.etsy.com

Our Story

Copper Electroplated & Electroformed Crystal Jewelry - Inspired by both local flora and the mythological fauna of Norse and Old Germanic folklore, my pieces aim to act as protective amulets. Whenever possible, I use minerals and botanical elements that I am drawn to and gather myself throughout California while on expeditions gathering trash to protect the local watershed. With my years of experience in Botany and Geology, I gather responsibly and consciously, never taking more than I will use and leaving no harm to its surroundings. I hope to inspire others to respectfully admire our Earth as they wear my craft.

Using the electroplating process, specimen are meticulously crafted from start to finish, immortalizing them in copper. Each piece takes a minimum of five hours to create, with many projects spanning up to weeks as each step is processed. Gathering, cleaning, sculpting, drying, plating, adding patina, polishing, and finishing off with closures and handmade chain are all steps that deserve attention to detail. If you have an item of your own you would like incorporated, please feel free to contact me and I'd be honored to care for it for you.
