Well…it’s been a minute since I posted on Facebook, mainly because we made a big move from Airmont to West Milford, NJ and brought the library with us, now going by in honor of our new street. We’ve given it an upgraded look, added bookmarks, and have been warmly welcomed by neighbors who are excited to have an LFL on their block. The plan is to continue featuring this month’s books, so you can see what’s available in September. Hope to meet some new patrons (and maybe have a few old ones stop by as well!)

Feels wrong to post anything on April 1 for fear it’s perceived as a joke, so here we are a few days later. New books as we enter Spring and the way we see it, access to books are needed now more than ever, so here goes. Our new thing is to showcase ALL of the books in the library, so please swipe to see the goodies we have out this month and stop by for anything you’d like to check out.

Happy New Year patrons and neighbors! I haven't posted recently due to the fact that Hillside Avenue Free Library has undergone some changes this fall. 6 years, 1 renovation/addition, and over 500 books later it was time to upgrade to this lovely LFL you see before you. Now all the books are housed into one unit, includes separate sign-in books for patrons as well as Geocachers, indoor solar lights for the nocturnal book lovers, and of course, a whole new range of books for kids and adults. Also coming soon - bookmarks! Hope new and regular patrons alike will come by and check out the new digs. Wishing everyone a wonderful 2025!

School is out and so are new books for July! Featured books of the month include Oprah’s What I Know For Sure, Herman Melville’s Moby Dick and banned book An Abundance of Katherines by John Green in the adult section, and Julie of the Wolves, Ellray Jake’s is Not a Chicken, and Pickled Watermelon in the kid’s section, not to mention many other great finds to kick off summer reading. Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!
