At first glance you might think these are fresh Christmas cookies ready for a glass of milk… but look again! 👀🍪

These sweet little treats are actually handmade from polymer clay — no baking required besides the curing process!

A customer reached out for a special order to use on the bag charms she creates, and I had so much fun bringing these tiny festive cookies to life. From the icing to the sprinkles, each one was carefully crafted to look just like the real thing (minus the calories 😆).

Custom pieces like this are always one of my favorite things to make because they get to become part of someone else’s creativity. I can’t wait to see the finished bag charms they end up on!

Yesterday we were living our best life in 60° weather, and today you wake up and choose snow?? Make it make sense.

I am officially ✨over✨ winter and SO ready for spring—sunshine, color, and absolutely zero shoveling. 🌸🌷

✨ From Raw Clay to Almost Ready ✨

The first photo is the pre-baked stage — freshly cut clay straight from my slab. No texture, no details, no baking yet. At this point they’re soft, flexible, and honestly looking a little plain. Just shapes with potential 💫

The second photo is after baking — fully cured, structured, and ready for the finishing touches. This is when they’ve been hardened in the oven and are strong enough to move on to sanding, detailing, sealing, and eventually hardware assembly.

It’s wild how much changes between these two steps. What starts as a simple piece of clay turns into something durable and wearable… and we’re not even at the final stage yet 😍

Creating each pair is such a process, but I love every step of it. Which stage surprises you more — the soft raw clay or the post-bake transformation? 💕

✨ From Clay to Cute: How a Pair of Polymer Clay Earrings Is Made ✨

Ever wondered what goes into making one pair of handmade polymer clay earrings? Here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek 👀👇

1️⃣ It all starts with a block of clay
Just a simple block—nothing fancy yet.

2️⃣ Color mixing magic 🎨
Colors are mixed and blended to create one-of-a-kind shades you won’t find anywhere else.

3️⃣ Conditioning the clay
The clay is rolled through a pasta machine 20–30 times to get it smooth, flexible, and ready to work with (yes, my arms feel it 💪).

4️⃣ Cutting the shapes
The main earring pieces and any accent details are carefully cut out.

5️⃣ Assembly time
All the tiny details are added to the main piece—this is where the design really comes to life.

6️⃣ Bake, bake, bake 🔥
The earrings are baked for 30–45 minutes to harden and set the design.

7️⃣ Sanding & polishing
Edges are sanded and polished for a smooth, professional finish.

8️⃣ Seal & hardware
Sealed if needed, then assembled with hypoallergenic hardware so they’re ready to wear.

9️⃣ Packaging 📦
Each pair is packaged up with care and ready for its new home.
