I promised myself I'd post more photos this year. So here is my monthly post. It's spooky season. No AI used in this masterpiece. 🤣

Opals are known for their captivating play-of-color, but they require special care to protect their beauty.

- Clean gently: Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, which can damage opal. Instead, clean opal jewelry with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Avoid heat, dry conditions & chemicals: Opal contains water within its structure. Dry conditions and high heat can cause opals to turn white or chalky or even crack. Avoid prolonged storage in very dry environments like a safe and exposure to heat sources like halogen lamps.
- Store carefully: Opal ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness, making it susceptible to scratches from many other gems. Store opal jewelry separately in a soft pouch or a lined compartment of a jewelry box.

If your eyes can't focus, that's on me. I'm not sure why I thought a photo on top of the showcase would work. There is too much going on here. 😄😵‍💫

But hey, we have Peridots for August. 🌱💚🥬

* maybe the lettuce emoji was a bad idea too

Today we had some visitors at the store while our house was getting its quarterly pest control treatment.
Thistle 🐈 is the most curious of curious.
Poe 🐈‍⬛️ just wants to go home and hide.
Love them both.
Justice is pretty cool too. ❤️
