Gray Hair Was a Big Hit With the Street Style Set This Fashion Month
From London to Paris, gray hair is becoming an increasingly common sight on the street-style set during fashion month. Further indicating that the hue is no passing fad, a number of fashionable women—including, of course, Vogue’s own Sarah Harris, who long ago made the tonal shade look exceptionally cool—celebrated their silver in the fashion capitals.
“Post-lockdown, there is a feeling of liberty—many got into a gray hair rut because they couldn’t see their colorists, but came out of the other side and actually enjoyed the change,” muses hairstylist Luke Hersheson. “At one point it was a big no-no to have gray hair, but now we don’t equate gray hair with being ‘old’—so many people are doing it.”
