WHAT IS JEWELRY PANNA? JEWELRY PANNA is a small business, which originated initially in Kherson, Ukraine, run by creator, Anna Pankratova (born 1985). Anna is a professional art teacher, painter, architectural designer, and founder of PANNA. She always had the desire to design and create ever since she was young. When Anna was 4-years-old, the arts was her niche. She began drawing at the age of 4. Her artistic abilities, for her age, were unbelievably astonishing. Even her parents were stunned at how well Anna could draw at that age. Within a year, Anna's parents admitted Anna to art school in Ukraine. For the next 12 years, Anna developed her skills and talents immensely through art school as well as attending public school, simultaneously. Her talents proved to be grand. In the autumn of 2009, the notion for developing the small business of PANNA grew in Anna's innovative mind. Anna is the designer and creator of the jewelry pieces of PANNA. Anna is also the supplier of her products at a very affordable and reasonable price. Presently (January 2013), Anna, resides in Moscow, Russia, developing her artistic talents in the cultural city. Anna gains much insight and inspiration from traveling from city-to-city, especially cities immersed in glorious tradition and history. When Anna is not designing jewelry for PANNA, she teaches young Russian students to enhance his/her artistic abilities for several hours a day. Anna focuses primarily on each student's needs. She concentrates on a student's abilities and brings out the best of the student's inner talents. Anna strives to grow as a young artist in Moscow, Russia, expanding her jewelry business, bit-by-bit. Anna hopes to see the growth in PANNA, gradually yet steadily. WHO IS JESSICA ALEXANDRA ARBAI? Jessica Lee Arbai (Alexandra is her unofficial middle name) was born in Paterson, New Jersey, U.S.A in 1987. She was raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A. Jessica Alexandra Arbai first encountered Anna Pankratova via the use of Facebook towards the end of February of 2012. Ultimately, Anna introduced her work and talent of designing jewelry to Jessica in early March of 2012. At first, Jessica was skeptical as to the type of work. Jessica was also rather indifferent. However, they say "looks can be deceiving." With time, Jessica realized that Anna's work was truly special and extraordinary. In fact, Jessica was so intrigued by Anna's conscientious dedication and originality in jewelry-making, she decided to be a part of Anna's mission. Within a month after Jessica and Anna met online, in end of March 2012, Jessica asked to join Anna's mission with PANNA. Anna had no objections to this inquiry, and accepted Jessica's request. Jessica would like to see Anna, an inspiring young artist, spread her artistic talents and creations to impress others. Jessica is Anna's partner for PANNA. In early April, Jessica created and launched the official page of PANNA. In due time, Anna began sending photos of completed jewelry pieces and jewelry sets to Jessica. Thus, Jessica created photo albums per jewelry set, updating the PANNA page. 5 months later, Jessica decided to create and launch the official website of PANNA via the use of a website template designer called WIX. The official website was launched in late September of 2012. Jessica is Anna's business developer, providing advice to improve her business and expand further from Kherson, Ukraine. Jessica is also the website specialist of PANNA Facebok page, editing information as to Anna's whereabouts, happenings, and new releases. Presently, Jessica still volunteers 100% helping Anna and PANNA as much as she can, expecting nothing in return. Jessica is also a professional nurse in New Jersey, U.S.A, working as part-time nurse in an assisted living and nursing home in Madison, New Jersey, U.S.A. Jessica aspires to become a medical-surgical floor nurse in a well-respected hospital in the near future. HOW DID PANNA FIRST BEGIN? Anna had the idea of PANNA since the autumn of 2009. She wanted to begin a small business, to share her creativity and artistic ability to more than just herself and her family. WHERE IS THE LOCATION OF PANNA? Initially, PANNA was located in the bustling heart of the city of Kherson, Ukraine. PANNA was there when Anna used to live in this city with her parents. PANNA was in Kherson since the start in autumn 2009 until summer of 2012. However, PANNA goes wherever Anna goes. Presently (January 2013), PANNA is in the heart of Moscow, Russia. WHAT IS POLYMER CLAY? WHY USE POLYMER CLAY AS THE FOUNDATION? The use of polymer clay was the prime choice for PANNA because polymer clay is an extremely pliable material; it is easy to manipulate in various ways. For Anna, manipulation of the material serves as a critical basis to create a piece of jewelry. Being that polymer clay is highly pliable and soft, control of the material comes relatively easy. Anna can create and manipulate the material with little effort as well as design unique patterns on piece of the polymer clay flawlessly. Polymer clay does not harden during use. The original formulations of polymer clay remain soft until cured at relatively low temperatures. In order for polymer clay to harden, the product must be cured. Think of curing as a regular piece of clay to make a ceramic plate. The clay must be put into of high heat in order to harden. Yet, that particular clay is easy to break when dropped. Polymer clay works the opposite way. Polymer clay cannot break when dropped. Color pigments may be added to the translucent base to create a variety of colors. DOES POLYMER CLAY REMAIN STURDY AFTER TIME? HOW IS THE QUALITY OF PANNA OVERALL? Yes, polymer clay is sturdy. When conditioned and cured/hardened properly, most clays create items that will not break or crack if dropped or stressed. When polymer clay hardens to its full extent, the product is amazingly sturdy. Cured pieces may have additional layers or enhancements added. Cured pieces can also be re-cured with no ill effect. As long as the maximum curing temperature is not exceeded, there is no limit as to the number of times a piece can be re-cured. After the piece has cured, the clay surface can be left as is, sanded and buffed, or finished with a water-based varnish. It is the designer's responsibility and expertise to provide items of fine and trusted quality.
