When a gold accessory is made, it is necessary to weld some pieces together and for this process it is requisite to find another gold-solder, that melts in a lower temperature than the gold alloy which is being worked on. This is made with metals such as cadmium and / or zinc instead of copper and silver. However, if you are working on an accessory of pure gold (not any other metal involved in it) , the only way to make a solder for pure gold artifacts is to lower the carat of the gold slightly and make an alloy with another metal. Thanks to our craftsmen, they have managed to bring the pure gold-solder alloy to 985 / 1000 (=23, 64K) . This special solder's color is very close to identical to that of pure color. The artifacts, that are being produced form pure gold and welded with a 985 / 1000 solder, can be labeled as 24 K pure gold by many foreign countries legislations. However, according to the Turkish legislative procedures the label value of the artifact cannot surpass its solder value and this is carefully examined by the national mint. Therefore, though we offer pure gold artifacts, they are labeled as 985 K gold.
