Call it dialception, a guilloché ring inside a beaded track inside a Roman numeral chapter inside another guilloché circle, each layer cut by hand the same way Daniel Roth learned it while reviving Breguet's dials years before starting his own brand.

Just two hands, no date, no complications, the double ellipse case in yellow gold with blued steel hands and "Numero" signed quietly at 6 o'clock, all sitting on a tweed strap that works better than it has any right to.

Comment "Numero Gold" and we'll send you the price.

Gold never goes out of style, same with these watches right here.

A diamond set Patek Philippe Calatrava, a Rolex Cellini Prince with its Clou de Paris dial, a Vacheron Constantin dressed down to just hands and a Maltese cross, a Cartier with its original sub-seconds dial, a Daniel Roth Le Sentier, a Rolex Cellini in an oval case with a champagne dial, and an Audemars Piguet double signed by Türler.

Comment "Gold Vintage" and we'll send you the prices.

Patek Philippe made the first moonphase wristwatch back in 1925, adapting a display that used to live on church clocks and grandfather clocks, back when moonlight actually determined whether it was safe to travel at night and farmers timed their planting by the lunar cycle.

This one carries that same complication in a tonneau shaped case: cream dial, applied gold Arabic numerals, and the moon quietly cycling through its phases at 6 o'clock alongside the date.

A small mechanical nod to something people have been tracking in the sky for centuries, still doing the same job on your wrist.

Comment “Moonphase” and we'll send you the price.

Spelling your brand out in gold isn't something you see every day, unless you were making watches in the 70s and 80s.

This one reads "san ANTONIO" straight across the case, with the actual timekeeping tucked into a small square of black onyx off to the side, "Minuit" written across it in script.

Drop "San Antonio" in the comments and the price is on its way to you.

This shelf splits two ways, engineering-minded or statement-piece, take your pick.

Roth's Ellipsocurvex, the swiveling Reverso, and Patek's Ellipse are all case shapes born from function first.

The Calatrava in rose gold, Piaget's name spelled into the case, and a pavé-and-ruby Nautilus lead with presence instead.

Comment "Second Look" and we'll send you the prices.

1. Daniel Roth Extra Plat, 18k Yellow Gold, 35x38mm
2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Platinum, 26x42mm
3. Patek Philippe Calatrava King Size, 18k Rose Gold, 37mm
4. Piaget San-Antonio, Minuit, 18k White Gold, 26mm
5. Patek Philippe Nautilus, 18k Yellow Gold, Pave Diamond Dial, Ruby Marker, 37mm

Audemars Piguet built the world's first skeleton watch in 1934, and they've been doing it ever since.

An onyx ring frames the movement instead of a dial, black on black against the white gold.

Every bridge and gear is pierced and hand-engraved, visible from both the front and the caseback.

Drop "Skeleton Onyx" in the comments and we’ll send you the price for it.

Cartier had to prove it was still a real watchmaker before this one ever left the workshop.

It was launched under Collection Privée Cartier Paris, a program that ran for a decade before winding down.

This Tortue is platinum, manually wound, and carries that signature stretched, twisted case shape Cartier's leaned on for over a century, still never quite round, never quite rectangular.

Drop a comment with “Platinum Tortue“ and we’ll send over the details and price.

Out of 250 ever made, only 30 came in platinum, and this is one of them.

To celebrate the Papillon's 10th anniversary, Daniel Roth came back to design this piece himself, by invite, even though he'd already sold the brand by then.

The guilloché dial nods back to his years at Breguet, laid out with a symmetry that's rare to see this clean, the hour jumping into the window at 12 while an oversized blued pointer sweeps the minutes below and a running seconds sub-dial sits layered right at the center.

A case shape is the first thing you notice, before the dial, before the strap, before anything else.

An oval that curves with the wrist instead of sitting flat against it. A tortue on a burgundy strap, that slight twist in the case Cartier's used for over a century. An asymmetric shield with diamonds tracing both edges of the dial, a shape you don't see often outside vintage catalogs. A round dial ringed in diamonds, simple until you look at what's holding it. A rectangle with a dial in deep burnt orange. And a second oval, this one in black.

Comment “Case First” and we’ll send you the prices on these pieces!

1. Patek Philippe Mini Ellipse, 18k White Gold, 20mm
2. Rolex Cellini 18k Yellow gold, Orange Mirror Dial, 23mm
3. Cartier Himalia 18k White Gold, Diamond Bezel, 16 mm
4. Cartier Tortue CPCP, Platinum, 34x43mm
