Since its founding in 1935, the Singapore Athletic Association (SA) has opened its doors to the country’s athletes at the Farrer Park Stadium during the early days of Singapore’s sporting history. Over the years, SA has gone from strength to strength and stands poised to take bold strides in nurturing our sporting talents and work towards a holistic athlete development framework, while making comp

etitive athletics a viable career option. Under the helm of a dynamic team of volunteers and a full-time secretariat, SA aims to continue to build on its rich legacy, and position as the governing body of all things track and field in Singapore. With effect from 1 February 2011, SA is now a charity under the Charities Act as required by the Singapore Sports Council.

Just a light drizzle at Scotstoun... nothing Shanti Pereira couldn't handle. 🌧️🇸🇬

Shanti clocked 11.40s to finish 5th in her group and 14th overall out of 23 competitors in the Women's 100m at the Commonwealth Games.

Her campaign isn't over yet! 💪 She'll be back on the track for the Women's 200m at 5:30 PM SGT today.

The action continues at 6:30 PM SGT, when Harry, Reuben and Marc take to the track in the Men's 200m.

A memorable day for Singapore Athletics as Thiruben Thana Rajan became the first Singaporean ever to compete in the Men’s 800m at the Commonwealth Games. 🇸🇬👏

Results
🏃 Thiruben Thana Rajan
• 1:53.89 in the Men’s 800m
• 7th in his heat | 24th overall

⬆️ Kampton Kam
• Cleared 2.05m in the Men’s High Jump Final
• Finished 8th

Both athletes will now turn their attention to the Asian Games this September.

Another milestone for Shanti Pereira! 🇸🇬

Shanti kicked off her Commonwealth Games campaign in style, winning her Women’s 100m Round 1 heat in 11.24s, her second fastest time ever.

The performance saw her qualify 3rd fastest overall for the semi-finals and continues the impressive progression she’s made since the last Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022.

Four years on from setting national records at those Games, Shanti is running faster than ever.

Next up: the semi-finals. Let’s go! 🔥🙌
