The Closets, Cabinets and Containers of Secrets

Presented during WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, this exhibition brings together an international group of artists exploring themes of coming out, revealing secrets, identity, and the many ways we choose to disclose - or conceal - our personal truths.

Through an international open call, participating artists were invited to reflect on the idea of coming out, revealing a secret, or more broadly, on the concept of secrecy itself. The result is a diverse collection of contemporary jewellery and objects that offers intimate, thought-provoking, and deeply personal perspectives from creators from around the world.

The unique anniversary salon.

Welcome to the opening, Saturday, June 13th, 11am-4pm.

The exhibition will be opened at 12pm by Konsthantverkarna chairman Sebastian Hägelstam and curator Hanna Grill. Curators Helena Sandström and Matilda Kästel will present the exhibition.

For 75 years, Konsthantverkarna has provided Sweden with top-class handicrafts. Ever since interior designer Marianne von Münchow had the idea for a joint sales point for handicrafts in 1951, and the first tentative steps were taken on Mäster Samuelsgatan, the association has worked tirelessly with a belief in handicrafts and the collective as a unifying force. Our goal has been to stand for tradition but also renewal, and over the years, both Swedish and international exhibitors have shown the best and latest in handicrafts. But the most important thing has always been to show the quality, craftsmanship and knowledge that exist within material-based art.

We are celebrating our anniversary year with two exhibitions, a series of specially made anniversary collections and a book. First up is the anniversary exhibition The Unique Anniversary Salon in our gallery at Södermalmstorg with 60 of our members. Each member has made a new work in three numbered copies that are sold directly from the exhibition together with a certificate of authenticity. My contribution is the necklaces STICK AROUND I, II & III.

Day 5 at the Munich Jewellery Week was att the actual Scmuck Messe. And the big thing this year is that Sanna became cover girl with her fantastic icecream. Also nice with other friends and acquaintances attending in different way out there. Thank you everybody for this year in Munich!
