Today I attended my first Executive Committee meeting with the Nordic Karate Federation as an EC member.

We had productive discussions and made several decisions that will support the continued development of the Nordic Karate Championships and strengthen cooperation between the Nordic federations.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the host nation Estonia and its president Toomas Vitsut for the warm hospitality and for organizing a very productive meeting.

My thanks also go to my colleagues for the positive and professional collaboration:

• Asbjørn Paulsen – President of the Danish Karate Federation
• Harry Heinonen – President of the Finnish Karate Federation
• Toufic Kawar – President of the Latvian Karate Federation
• Stian Berglund – President of the Norwegian Karate Federation

I would like to sincerely thank the Uzbekistan Karate Federation for the warm hospitality i get and the opportunity for our national team to train alongside yours.

It has been an valuable experience for our athletes and an important step in their development. We truly appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the chance to share knowledge and learn from each other.

Today, I had the privilege of having a constructive meeting with the President of the World Karate Federation, Mr. Antonio Espinós. We discussed the development of Swedish karate, as well as the visions and projects that the board and I are working on to strengthen Swedish karate and our future position. The conversation was characterized by meaningful discussions and a positive spirit of cooperation.

New Head Coach for Sweden in Kumite: Farouk Abdesselem 🇸🇪

We are pleased to announce and welcome Farouk Abdesselem as the new Head Coach in Kumite.

Farouk, originally from France, has an impressive background both as an athlete and as a coach. After his athletic career, he has been Head Coach for both Indonesia and Korea, with good results.

With his solid expertise in elite athlete development and his wide international network, Farouk will play an important role in taking Swedish karate to the next level.

We warmly welcome Farouk Abdesselem and wish him the very best of success in his new role.
