New Art Collection S31 Spitfire Swiss Automatic. Each watch is hand-painted and each dial is individually numbered on the aircraft’s tail – available to order now.
The S31 was Sweden’s designation for the British Spitfire reconnaissance version that carried cameras instead of guns and relied on speed and altitude. Sweden bought 50 of them from Britain in 1948, painted in the pale PRU Blue that made them nearly invisible against the high-altitude sky. They flew Cold War reconnaissance missions and mapped much of Sweden before being replaced in 1955 by the reconnaissance version of the J29 Tunnan.
Each dial is hand-painted on order.
