LovePaws is a spin-off project of the previous one "helping paw to a homeless" that went beyond expectation! The pendant "helping paw" I made to support the shelter "Katthemmet Kompis" outside Nybro Sweden, when they suffered a terrible fire on New Year's Day of 2010. I made and sold the one jewel exclusively for them, to help them rebuild the shelter, and I managed to donate quite a lot (my own m
easures). Jewelery collection LovePaws is as it's forerunner, also designed and developed to benefit our Swedish homeless cats. The donations will go to selected reputable shelters around the country to support their tremendous work for our vulnerable lovely cats. All pieces are made by hand, one by one, for the best possible quality and feel (absolutely no mass-production with any adults or children getting hurt). :)
LovePaws is meant as a symbolic tool where anyone can help contribute by buying for themselves or choose to give someone as a gift. It carries not only a jewelry inspired by our four-legged friends, but also a symbol that tells you that you have been involved and made a difference. Behind this project is me, Sarah Mineur Tell and I have been active as a goldsmith and designer since 1995 (when I first started my training in Falköping). Cat lover, I've been all my life. ;)
The first 25 jewels in the collection are named after the cats who are and have been in my life over the years. To honor them and celebrate the imprints and memories they left in my heart!
