Louis Erard introduces the Marqueterie de Paille, a new Métiers d’Art creation made in collaboration with Portuguese artist Bernardo D’Orey, bringing the rare craft of straw marquetry to the watch dial in a distinctly contemporary way.

Each dial is handcrafted entirely from rye straw, with the material individually selected, opened, flattened and arranged by hand. Around 12 hours of work go into every dial, which is built from 28 individually composed sections to create the abstract “Broken Ice” pattern. The different directions of the natural fibres allow the surface to constantly shift in colour, texture and reflection as the watch moves.

Limited to just 25 pieces worldwide, each with its own unique straw-marquetry dial.

M.A.D.Editions introducing the M.A.D.3 Vincent Calabrese — a collaboration between M.A.D.Editions and legendary independent watchmaker Vincent Calabrese, reimagining his iconic Baladin concept for a new generation.

Its unique take on the jumping-hour complication allows the hour to travel progressively across the dial rather than jumping instantly, creating a fluid and almost hypnotic way of reading time.

It comes in two launch editions: raspberry pink for The Tribe and Friends, and blue through the M.A.D.Editions raffle.

is making some of the coolest moves in watchmaking right now. They took the classic Artelier, cleaned up the dial, and dropped this amazing textured chestnut finish. Tracking a second time zone at 6 o’clock and the moon phase at 12 o’clock has never looked this relaxed. 💼🌰
