“Wolf” Goes on the Hunt!
In 2026, Konstantin Chaykin’s bestiary welcomes a new charismatic Wristmon. “Wolf” becomes the second character in the “East” collection, launched last year with “Panda Titanium.” The time indications shape the character’s changing expression, while the key technical feature is Konstantin Chaykin’s own interpretation of the full-moon period indicator. The Moon disk appears in the predator’s jaws for only two to three days each month – on the eve of the full moon, on the day itself, and immediately afterward.
“Wolf’s” character is emphasized by its piercing gaze, pointed ears, and textured “fur.” The direction of the fur is conveyed through wavy guilloché, while high-precision pad printing, applied by hand, gives the eyes their distinctive expressiveness. The new model will be produced in an unlimited edition.

В 2026 году бестиарий Константина Чайкина пополняется еще одним харизматичным ристмоном. «Волк» – второй персонаж коллекционного издания «Восток», начатого год назад моделью «Панда. Титан». Показания времени формируют подвижную мимику героя. Главная техническая особенность премьеры – авторский указатель периода полнолуния: его диск появляется в пасти хищника лишь на два-три дня в месяц. Характер «Волка» задают заостренные уши и фактурная «шерсть», направление которой передано волнистым гильоше. Особую выразительность глазам придает высокопрецизионная тампопечать, выполняемая вручную. Новинка планируется к выпуску неограниченным тиражом.

SC02C: The Chronograph That Conquered Space

The Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture presents the SC02C – a mechanical chronograph developed for Russian cosmonauts and tested under real spaceflight conditions. Created as a professional instrument, it is now being released for the first time in a limited edition of 28 pieces adapted for everyday wear. The 44 mm steel case is designed to operate in high-vacuum conditions. The sapphire crystal is secured using a reverse “dovetail” construction, an antimagnetic cover protects the caliber against magnetic fields of up to 4,800 A/m, and the 12-hour bezel allows longer intervals to be timed. The hand-wound K.20-5 caliber is based on the reliable Poljot 3133 movement, substantially modified by the Manufacture.

Мануфактура «Константин Чайкин» представляет ПК-2А – механический хронограф, разработанный для российских космонавтов и испытанный в реальных условиях космического полета. Созданный как профессиональный инструмент, он впервые выходит лимитированной серией из 28 экземпляров, адаптированных для повседневного ношения. Стальной корпус диаметром 44 мм рассчитан на работу в высоком вакууме. Сапфировое стекло закреплено по принципу обратного «ласточкина хвоста», антимагнитная крышка защищает калибр от магнитного поля до 4800 А/м, а 12-часовой безель позволяет отсчитывать длительные интервалы. В основе калибра К.20-5 с ручным заводом – надежный «Полёт» 3133, существенно модифицированный мануфактурой.

Throughout his creative career, Konstantin Chaykin has been particularly drawn to astronomical complications as a field of almost limitless experimentation. Over time, his body of work came to include unique Computus mechanisms, a Muslim Hijri calendar, and other proprietary solutions. Yet it was “Lunokhod”, introduced in 2011, that marked the beginning of the “Space Program” – a direction in which watches with truly distinctive functions, previously unseen in watchmaking, began to take shape. Today, the collection comprises around ten projects: Chaykin’s watches have already travelled to Earth orbit more than once, undergone testing, and withstood loads far beyond the demands of ordinary wear.

На протяжении всего творческого пути Константина Чайкина особенно интересовали астрономические усложнения как широкое поле для экспериментов. Постепенно в числе разработок мастера появились уникальные Пасхалии, мусульманский календарь Хиджры. Но именно «Луноход», представленный в 2011 году, положил начало «Космической программе» – направлению, внутри которого начали развиваться часы с совершенно особыми, прежде не существовавшими функциями. Сегодня эта коллекция насчитывает порядка десяти проектов: часы Чайкина уже не раз бывали на земной орбите, проходили испытания и выдерживали нагрузки, несопоставимые с обычной эксплуатацией.

“Lunokhod” became the starting point of Konstantin Chaykin’s “Space Program”: its patented spherical Moon-phase display gave the astronomical complication sculptural volume. The concept was continued in “Lunokhod Prime”, where the lunar sphere is represented by a natural pearl.

In record-breaking ultra-thin watches, even something as routine as winding the movement or setting the time calls for a special solution. It might seem that a separate external device would be unavoidable. But ThinKing Mystery takes a far more elegant approach: a miniature winding key is concealed inside the strap clasp. Simply slide back the protective slider, use the key, return it to its place and secure it again. Everything needed to wind the watch and set the time is therefore always, quite literally, close at hand.

Но в «Загадке тонкого короля» концепция гораздо изящнее: миниатюрный заводной ключ спрятан в застежке ремешка. Чтобы достать его, достаточно сдвинуть защитный слайдер, воспользоваться ключом, вернуть его на место и снова зафиксировать. Так все необходимое для завода часов и установки времени всегда в буквальном смысле остается под рукой.

Konstantin Chaykin’s Cinema watch takes the viewer back to an era when film and photographic equipment was still mechanical. This idea is expressed not only through the miniature zoopraxiscope in the aperture at 6 o’clock, but also through the shape of the case itself – rectangular, softly rounded at the corners and fitted with a convex sapphire crystal. Its silhouette recalls an antique photo or cinema camera, with a black lacquer dial styled as a camera lens and decorated with Clous de Paris guilloché. The association is continued by the watch’s functional controls: the winding crown and the zoopraxiscope activation button. These details reinforce the impression of a miniature “stage”, where the famous gallop of Sallie Gardner from Eadweard Muybridge’s chronophotographic series comes into view.

Часы «Кино» Константина Чайкина возвращают зрителя к эпохе, когда кино- и фототехника еще была механической. Эта идея выражена не только через миниатюрный зоопраксископ в окне на отметке «6 часов», но и через форму самого корпуса – прямоугольного, с мягко скругленными углами и выпуклым сапфировым стеклом. Его силуэт напоминает старинную фото- или кинокамеру: черный лаковый циферблат стилизован под объектив и украшен гильошированным узором Clous de Paris. Эту ассоциацию продолжают характерные фактурные элементы: заводная головка и кнопка запуска зоопраксископа. Благодаря им на миниатюрной «сцене» отображается знаменитый галоп Салли Гарднер из серии хронофотографий Эдварда Мейбриджа.

Assembling the “Joker Iron Mask” demands absolute precision from the watchmaker. In this piece, the mechanism is fully exposed, so every detail contributes to the character’s appearance and has to be flawless. The Joker indication module comprises 140 components: they are first assembled into separate units, with their fit, interaction and surface finish carefully checked, before being brought together into a single mechanism. There are no secondary operations here: a speck of dust, a tool mark or a microscopic inaccuracy would immediately disrupt the integrity of the Wristmon’s “face”. The assembly process thus becomes meticulous handwork, in which technical complexity is made visible.
Сборка «Джокера Железной Маски» требует от мастера предельной точности. В этих часах механизм открыт взгляду, поэтому каждая деталь работает на образ и должна быть безупречной. Модуль джокер-индикации состоит из 140 компонентов: их собирают в отдельные узлы, проверяют посадки, взаимодействие и чистоту поверхностей, а затем соединяют в единую конструкцию. Здесь нет второстепенных операций: пылинка, след инструмента или микроскопическая неточность сразу нарушили бы цельность «лица» ристмона. Поэтому сборка превращается в филигранную ручную работу, где техническая сложность становится видимой.

“Kolobok 2” continues one of the most unexpected strands of the Wristmon collection: its turn toward Russian folklore. Through a character forever eager to set off toward new adventures, Konstantin Chaykin brings a fairy-tale plot together with his own vision of the watch as a living mechanical character. The impression is reinforced by the dial’s “golden-brown crust” effect, achieved through a multilayer lacquer coating with warm tonal transitions. The signature Joker indication turns Kolobok’s eyes into hour and minute displays, while his smile becomes the Moon-phase indicator. As a result, the character is never static: his expression changes with the passage of time.
«Колобок 2» продолжает одну из самых неожиданных линий коллекции ристмонов – обращение к русскому фольклору. В образе героя, который всегда стремится навстречу новым приключениям, Константин Чайкин соединяет сказочный сюжет с собственным представлением о часах как о живом механическом персонаже. Этому способствует и циферблат с эффектом «румяной корочки»: за него отвечает многослойное лаковое покрытие с теплыми переходами оттенков. Фирменная джокер-индикация превращает глаза Колобка в указатели часов и минут, а улыбку – в индикатор фазы Луны. Благодаря этому персонаж не остается статичным: его мимика меняется вместе с ходом времени.

At first glance, this is a textbook classic: a round steel case, a light silvered dial, and a leather strap. Look closer, however, and it becomes clear that this is far more than an everyday watch. Konstantin Chaykin has brought a full-fledged Muslim calendar to the wrist – the calendar used to determine important religious holidays. All numerals and names are written in Arabic. The peripheral scale indicates the dates of the month, from 1 to 30, while the subdials at 12 and 6 o’clock display the days of the week and the months of the Hijri calendar. The design also draws on symbolic imagery from Islamic culture: the tip of the hour hand is shaped like a mosque dome, while the minute hand evokes the silhouette of a minaret.

На первый взгляд это эталонная классическая модель: круглый стальной корпус, светлый посеребренный циферблат, кожаный ремешок. Но стоит присмотреться, и становится ясно: перед нами не просто повседневные часы. Константин Чайкин перенес в наручный формат полноценный мусульманский календарь, по которому определяют важные религиозные праздники. Все числа и названия написаны на арабском языке. Периферийная шкала показывает числа месяца – от 1 до 30, а субциферблаты на «12» и «6 часах» – дни недели и месяцы календаря Хиджра. В оформлении мастер обращается к символичным образам исламской культуры: наконечник часовой стрелки выполнен в форме купола мечети, а минутная напоминает минарет.
