Cinnabar lacquer drawn over an openwork rose-gold structure. A graduated line of pearls follows the curve; two trillion-cut diamonds interrupt the red.

Realised in Paris with Atelier Mathon.

Coloured diamonds deepen from mauve into violet, violet into a red close enough to skin to blush it, met on the other arc by a field of blue-green, cool where the rest runs warm.

Cast in shibuichi, the rose-russet Japanese alloy of silver and copper. Not one white stone among them.
