Black Saturday Prayer

Lord, on this Black Saturday, we remember Your suffering and Your love.

Thank You because by Your wounds, we are healed, and by Your sacrifice, we are saved.

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

When our hearts feel tired, help us trust You in the silence.

Remind us that even when life feels quiet, You are still working.

Even when we cannot see it yet,
You are already making a way.

Fill us with peace while we wait, healing for the parts of us that are hurting, and hope for the days ahead.

Thank You, Lord, because the story does not end in darkness.

Amen.

This Palm Sunday, let this remind you:

A lot can change in a week.

Jesus was praised, then betrayed, denied, and crucified… and still, He rose.

So if things feel heavy right now, don’t lose hope. This is not the end for you.

“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” — Isaiah 60:22

If it hasn’t happened yet, it doesn’t mean it won’t. It just means God is still working.

Trust His timing. He knows when is the best time to answer your prayers.

𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗔 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗢

Almighty and Loving Father,
we humbly come before You,
seeking Your divine protection from Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi).
Calm the winds, subdue the rains, and spare our communities from harm.

Embrace those in danger with Your loving care,
and grant wisdom and courage to those working for safety and rescue.
May this storm remind us of Your power and mercy,
and unite us in faith, love, and prayer.

We entrust our lives and our nation to Your loving hands.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER IN THE WAKE OF THE EARTHQUAKE

Almighty and ever-living God,
we come before You in humility and faith,
our hearts trembling as the earth beneath us shakes again and again.
In these days of uncertainty and fear,
we turn to You—our refuge, our strength, and our hope.

Forgive us, Lord, for our negligence and indifference.
Have mercy on us and upon all Your creation.
As the ground continues to move and disasters strike one after another,
protect us, O loving Father, from harm and destruction.

Spare us from the collapse of homes and buildings,
from landslides, flooding, and all forms of danger.
Keep our families safe—especially the poor, the elderly, the sick,
and those without strong shelter to protect them from harm.

Comfort those who are anxious and weary.
Heal the wounded in body and spirit.
Console those who mourn their losses,
and grant eternal rest to the souls who have perished in these calamities.

Amidst fear and despair, renew in us steadfast faith,
that we may rise as one people—helping, praying, and trusting in Your divine will.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen.
