It’s called the fourth trimester for a reason.
You’re meant to keep your baby close.
To hold them. To rock them. To let them sleep on your chest if that’s where they settle best.
They just spent nine months inside of you listening to your heartbeat, your voice, your every movement.
You are all they know.
They don’t need to “learn independence.”
They need safety.
Connection.
Touch.
You can’t spoil a baby with love.
You can only teach them that the world is safe because you are there.
So if all they want is you… that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
