On November 3, 2025, in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, operatives of the Negros Oriental Provincial Cyber Response Team conducted two separate entrapment operations that led to the arrest of two men, identified by the aliases "Pipoy," 44, and "Pilo," 53, by virtue of duly issued warrants of arrest.

Both accused are facing charges for violation of Article 355 (Libel) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), with bail set at Php48,000.00 each.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful implementation of the warrants. He emphasized, "The PNP ACG remains steadfast in pursuing cyber offenders. Let this serve as a reminder that crimes committed online carry legal consequences. We will ensure that violators are brought to justice.”
