‘Fit Check: SB19 proudly repped Filipino culture at Lollapalooza as they made history 🇵🇭 As the first all-Filipino homegrown act to perform at the festival, we love that they chose to wear modern looks inspired by pre-colonial cultures and craftsmanship (including our jewelry!)

Stell wears our Estela Rosita Earrings.
Artisans make each one by hand, taking at least 2 days to arrange each tiny bead of silver into an intricate “rosita” pattern, before dipping the finished piece in gold. The same way our ancestors would have made it centuries ago — a true piece of wearable art 🫶🏻

SB19’s Lollapalooza looks, created by Roy Back and Argent Archive, very much gave us badass Filipino Cowboys — the iconic hat, boots, and lots of leather 🤠
We love how every detail pointed proudly to our pre-colonial heritage. Pablo, Stell, Josh, and Ken wore studded leather jackets that called back to our ancient art of gold filigree & granulation. Meanwhile, Justin’s look featured binakol and ling-ling-o, both traditional symbols of protection, like a suit of armor.

Nay and Tay, our senior artisans who are in their late 70's, make these by hand in Benguet, twisting and coiling fine silver threads into delicate discs. A meaningful piece of our heritage that looks both sleek & minimalist.
SB19 really went out there and knocked it outta Grant Park, we’re so proud of them 🙌🏼 We heard there were around 100,000 people per day at Lollapalooza!
