Built upon the architecture of the original Gran Luz, the Cine Noir introduces a deep black enamel lacquer dial that allows the Art Deco case, the Sinag hour markers, and the mother-of-pearl inlays to emerge with greater clarity and intention.

Like film noir itself, it finds its power in contrast—where shadows define form, and light is never accidental.

This is the Deco Ibarra Gran Luz Cine Noir.

Dignity. Heritage. Artistry.

Built on the foundation of the original gold variant, the Philippine edition is stands out in its warm tones — a proud expression of identity, resilience, and radiance.

Its Mother-of-Pearl inlays at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock reflect light in the four symbolic colors of the Philippine flag: blue, red, white, and yellow — like the cardinal points of the nation’s soul. Each dial reflects the rays of the Sinag — the sun of the Philippine flag — layering the richness of Filipino heritage.

Tied together by golden undertones and Art Deco details, the design whispers of Manila’s storied Golden Age of Architecture. Every detail pays tribute to the nation’s enduring spirit and its legacy of artistry.

Discipline. Honor. Craftsmanship.

Building on the foundation of the original silver variant, the Japan Edition of the Gran Luz 56 is refined in quiet tones — embodying clarity, subtlety, and grace.

The dial hour markers and hands are plated in silver, offering a modest take on the original design. At the 12 o’clock position, a single red mother-of-pearl inlay appears gently, symbolizing the Hinomaru (日の丸) — the red sun of the Japanese flag. This is balanced by three white Mother-of-Pearl inlays at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock.

This thoughtful arrangement expresses harmony and balance, with every detail paying tribute to Japan’s legacy of precision and harmony in craftsmanship.

The Gran Luz 56 builds upon the foundation of the original Gran Luz — a design born from the pursuit of moving forward by remembering the past.

The case serves as a tribute to the mid-century era, a period regarded as a Golden Age for dress watches. Much like the Art Deco movement, it was a time defined by structural clarity and geometric beauty.

The Gran Luz 56 is paired with custom straps made of Himeji Kurozan leather — a material known as the “diamond of leathers” in Japan.

Once favored by samurai during Japan’s Sengoku era, this armor-grade leather lives on in the dō-mune (胴胸) of modern bōgu (防具) or kendo armor — revered for its toughness, durability, and the mirror-like brilliance of its lacquered finish.

Kurozan is created through a labor-intensive process that requires traditional Japanese tanning techniques fused with lacquer coating, giving it a unique faceted sheen that reflects traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

Each strap is crafted in partnership with Moreno Watch Studio and its partners in Japan.
