Meet the Maker: Vaune Mason 🌿🐇 Vaune Mason

This month we are taking a closer look at the work of Vaune Mason - one of the founders of Mason & Collins and Workspace Studios, as well as a creative powerhouse in her own right!

Vaune is based on the Kāpiti coast and is well-known for her incredibly detailed carved animals, most often reproduced in glowing bronze, silver and gold, and every now and then, in recycled native timbers, stone or bone.

Vaune also loves to make beautiful be-jewelled pieces that look worthy of a treasure hunters' hoard. Her inspiration comes from the what surrounds her in nature. Her style is strong, archaic and feminine.
